I offer music tuition lessons and I'm a PGCE qualified music teacher with over 23 years teaching experience both in the classroom and as a peripatetic teacher. I am DBS checked and child safeguarding trained. I also hold a public liability insurance certificate.
In my repertoire of lessons I teach the violin, viola, oboe and piano up to grade 8 level, as well as singing, recorder and also music theory lessons. I can also offer KS2, KS3 , G.C.S.E. and A Level music booster lessons.
I can teach students online, in the comfort of their own home or at my residence. I do teach and prepare students for music exams and ensure my students are taught about musicianship and feel and expression. How to actually 'play' a piece of music and understand performance skills is an invaluable skill well learnt. Lesson focus on fun and are stress free and relaxed. Music should be enjoyed!!
Lessons can be booked here online or by email/mobile and are offered in 20,30,45 or 60 minute formats.Once you have chosen the type of lesson you require I then need a breakdown of the student's previous playing experience and some background information, so that I can build up a profile and work out a specifically tailored lesson for maximum benefit and progress.
Lessons are fun-filled and energetic and can be as easy going or as challenging as a student wishes, as long as they are having fun and learning. If a student has a desire to take a music exam then they will be prepared to the highest level and as long as they put in the practice/preparation should be able to pass.
